Doan Winkel

I’ve spent the last 15 years pushing the boundaries of experiential education. As an entrepreneur who was disappointed in my entire experience as a student, I am reimagining higher ed as a mastery-based approach to learning. It’s hard work but someone has to do it! My job is to mentor young people to (re)discover their purpose, and to develop a career path around that purpose by mastering skills during a customized series of projects that challenges them to experience the richness of working toward mastery.

Jamey Polack

Jamey Polak currently serves as Program Manager for LaunchNET at John Carroll University, where he works with entrepreneurs to help them develop, launch, and grow their businesses. He has a rich history of working in the digital space, beginning with his involvement in the creation of online sales platforms in the health insurance industry. He then went on to work in a web design firm, where he was instrumental in the strategic design of clients’ web-based projects before shifting careers to education.

Robert Marks

Robert is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded Fidelity Voice and Data in 1999 with just a $600 investment. He grew the company into one of the largest telecommunications and cloud services competitors throughout the Midwest, with a focus on providing High-Speed Internet access to various industries. In 2004, his company launched a groundbreaking VoIP venture and built data centers in Cleveland, Columbus, and Chicago. After selling the company in 2015, Robert turned his attention to giving back to his local community through various philanthropic initiatives. In 2020, Robert co-founded Projector, LLC with Layne Swenson. He currently resides in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with his wife and four children and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of South Florida.
